Oral cancer can be particularly dangerous because it can go unnoticed in it’s early stages. That being said, dentists can usually detect the disease early on. Yet another reason to keep up on your teeth cleaning and exams.

What is Oral Cancer’s Risk Factors?

The risk factors for oral cancer can be numerous, some of them are:

  • Sun Exposure On Your Lips
  • Tobacco Use
  • HPV Infection (The Human Papilloma Virus can cause cancer in the back of the throat and base of the tongue, including the tonsils.)
  • Alcohol Use
  • Previous Head & Neck Cancer Diagnosis
