Did you know tooth decay is the number one chronic infectious disease among children in the United States? Did you also know that tooth decay can start as early as one year old?
It’s interesting to note that kids with tooth decay are more likely to develop both immediate and long term oral health issues. These can include: pain, infections, difficulty speaking, tooth discoloration or even tooth loss, to name just a few.
To combat these problems, the AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) has created a tip sheet, broken into sections by age, that will help you know exactly what to do for your child’s oral health, no matter what their age is.
