Bleeding Gums

Bleeding Gums Englewood DentistsDo your gums bleed with light probing or for no apparent reason?

If this is the case then the chances are your gums are inflamed. Why would this be the case? There are several conditions that can cause your gums to become inflamed. The most common reason is poor oral hygiene, which can cause tooth decay. Another common cause is gingivitis.

In addition to these two causes there are several more, but less likely causes. For example, diabetes, failing restorations or periodontal disease, to name just a few.

If you’re experiencing bleeding gums don’t forget to brush twice a day and floss every night before you go to bed. If it continues, we recommend having your dentist look at your gums to see if there is a more serious problem.
